What do we mean by integration?

In simple terms, integration refers to how well address or street data is being used. You can actually replace integration with the word utilisation and it will mean the same thing.

Address or street data is consumed by local authority departments through their software systems which in turn help deliver key services to residents. For example; revenues and benefits, highways maintenance, electoral services, refuse collection and social care.

These departments rely on accurate address and street information in order to carry out their core functions, which is why integrating with definitive data is crucial.

In fact, any department, team, software or process requiring address or street information, is an ideal candidate for integrating with the data and using the UPRN and USRN.
